Boston-based carbon and renewable energy company GTE Sustainable Energy Inc. has appointed Grattan MacGiffin as the head of its new London-based environmental commodity trading division, it said on Monday."GTE Global Trading Limited was created in response to growing demand for access to credits from new carbon and environmental markets," the company said.
MacGiffin, formerly head of voluntary and new carbon markets at London brokers MF Global, will manage the new division.
The business adds to existing GTE Group companies in the United States, Canada, France and Turkey.
GTE Sustainable Energy specialises in sourcing, financing and developing clean energy projects and trading carbon credits in the voluntary and compliance markets. (Reporting by Nina Chestney; editing by James Jukwey)
