EGP council: the future of Europe and energy security

The European Green Party (EGP) will hold its autumn council meeting between Nov. 7 and 9 in İstanbul to discuss what challenges lie ahead for Europeans.

Hosted by Turkey's Greens and the Left Party of the Future (Yeşiller ve Sol Gelecek Partisi, or YSGP), the council will focus on key issues of democracy, YSGP central administration board member Ahmet Atıl Aşıcı said at a press conference on Tuesday.

IFC Report Finds Scope for Greater Sustainable Investment in Turkey

Istanbul, Turkey. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, on March 25 published the first report measuring the amount of sustainable investment in Turkey. The report finds that while current volumes are small, there is scope for much greater sustainable investment in the country.

Turkey offered credit facility by Europe

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has offered Turkey's banks a credit facility worth $527.3 million to help finance energy projects undertaken by the private sector, reports Reuters.

These projects are aimed to reduce Turkey's dependence on fossil fuels by financing medium scale sustainable energy projects.
